This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to process materials using machines that are fixed to a set location. Materials to be processed may be acrylic, glass, laminates, metal, stone or timber.The unit supports construction workers responsible for producing components for external or internal elements of buildings or fittings, such as wall units and benchtop units. This work is conducted off site and may include working with others and as a member of a team. It applies to residential and commercial componentry.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit of competency at the time of endorsement.
