Description
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to coordinate training area and range activities.It includes the skills required to analyse proposed training area/range activities, including the management of a booking system, reading and interpreting traces and templates and promulgating activities.This unit applies to Defence personnel who work in range management and range control but may be relevant to others who work in this field. Those undertaking this unit would work independently, or as part of a team, under indirect supervision, while performing routine tasks, in a variety of different contexts. They would use discretion and judgement and take responsibility for the quality of their outputs.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

1 Organise training area/range briefings and conferences
  • 1.1 Organise training area/range briefings and conferences in accordance with Training Area/Range Standing Orders
  • 1.2 Identify potential conflicts between separate activities on the range
2 Support activity deconfliction
  • 2.1 Support the resolution of conflict between separate activities on the training area/range
  • 2.2 Assist coordination activity phases to ensure there is no conflict between phases
3 Brief stakeholders
  • 3.1 Brief stakeholders on training area/range activities in accordance with Training Area/Range Standing Orders
  • 3.2 Raise and forward notifications in accordance with Training Area/Range Standing Orders as required
