1 Identify requirements for operational logistics
  • 1.1 Sources of information relevant to logistics are identified and relevant information is obtained in accordance with organisational policy and procedures
  • 1.2 Relevant legislation and regulatory compliance applicable to business needs are identified
  • 1.3 Information is reviewed for currency and documented in accordance with organisational policy and procedures
  • 1.4 Logistics plans are reviewed and compared against historical data
  • 1.5 Contingency plans are developed based on identified risks
  • 1.6 Performance indicators and other criteria for measuring achievement are developed
2 Implement operational logistics plans
  • 2.1 Logistics plan, including contingencies, is communicated to all stakeholders
  • 2.2 Logistics risks and impacts relevant to plans are identified, reported and resolved
  • 2.3 Plans are executed in accordance with organisational policy and procedures
  • 2.4 Participation and contribution to logistics activities are identified, established and maintained
3 Monitor and report on operational logistics implementation
  • 3.1 Plans are monitored and regularly reviewed in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
  • 3.2 Plans are amended and documented in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
  • 3.3 Performance measures are monitored to ensure they address all key aspects of organisational performance and meet business and stakeholder interests
  • 3.4 Performance data is analysed on a regular basis and potential contingencies reviewed to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures
  • 3.5 Strategic performance is reported to all stakeholders in a transparent manner in accordance with compliance requirements
