Description
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to maintain new aquabotic technology. The unit applies to individuals who are responsible for the maintenance of aquabotic technology for aquatic processes.All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety, food safety, biosecurity and environmental regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Elements and Performance Criteria
1. Undertake routine checks of aquabotic technology
- 1.1 Inspect aquabotic technology prior to use and according to workplace maintenance schedules to ensure all aquabotic operational features are operating effectively
- 1.2 Conduct safety checks according to manufacturer specifications and safety requirements
- 1.3 Interpret and record results of routine aquabotic technology checks
- 1.4 Document the condition of aquabotic technology, incorporating features and capabilities according to workplace processes
- 1.5 Identify faults and irregularities and report to appropriate personnel
2. Attend to minor maintenance and repairs
- 2.1 Diagnose maintenance and repair requirements following aquabotic technology inspection
- 2.2 Select tools and resources required to complete the maintenance requirements according to manufacturer specifications
- 2.3 Conduct the maintenance and repair work following manufacturer specifications, workplace health and safety standards and workplace policies
- 2.4 Determine who to report faults to outside scope of own expertise
3. Document maintenance and report activity
- 3.1 Record maintenance and repair activities in the required workplace format
- 3.2 Notify appropriate personnel about faults rectified and/or relevant details about the performance of aquabotic technology
