1. Identify operational processes, plant and equipment
  • 1.1 Obtain, interpret and confirm work requirements
  • 1.2 Access, interpret and apply documentation required to identify and rectify site operating problems
  • 1.3 Identify the links and effects on site processes, outputs, plant and equipment according to workplace procedures
  • 1.4 Identify the operating characteristics and limitations of site processes and plant and equipment according to workplace procedures

2. Monitor plant and equipment performance

  • 2.4 Monitor and inspect site plant and equipment to identify operating problems and malfunctions
  • 2.5 Monitor site processes, plant or equipment malfunctions and implement emergency shutdown procedures according to job requirements
  • 2.6 Monitor health and safety controls
  • 2.7 Monitor environmental controls for site processes, plant and equipment
3. Maintain plant and equipment performance
  • 3.1 Adjust plant and equipment controls where required according to workplace procedures
  • 3.2 Communicate site processes and plant and equipment faults/malfunctions to relevant personnel as required
  • 3.3 Maintain health and safety controls
  • 3.4 Maintain environmental controls for site processes, plant and equipment
