Overview of assessment
To achieve competency in this unit, a person must be able to demonstrate:
thorough understanding of the industry, company obligations and objectives
strong ability to negotiate on behalf of the company and build client relationships
the ability to assess rehabilitation need and potential for return to work
ability to assess and document return to work strategies
the ability to implement a detailed plan for rehabilitation and return to work for high risk or long term case
the ability to monitor and effectively report on progress of client
the ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality whilst performing case management functions
Evidence required for demonstration of consistent performance:
Competency is demonstrated by performance of all stated criteria including the Range Statement applicable to the particular workplace environment and should cover all necessary knowledge and skills requirements.

Method of assessment:
For valid and reliable assessment of this unit, evidence should be gathered through a range of methods to indicate consistent performance.
