This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to develop and manage a treatment process monitoring program.It includes developing, implementing and coordinating treatment process monitoring programs and optimising processes and production. It also includes reporting on implementation and monitoring plans for treatment activities.This unit applies to leaders with responsibility for the implementation of treatment management plans.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

1 Develop and implement atreatment process monitoring program
  • 1.1 Confirm performance measures for treatment management plans
  • 1.2 Develop implementation plans according to legislation, industry standards, workplace procedures and environmental factors
  • 1.3 Design and implement monitoring and testing programs according to objectives of treatment management plans and workplace procedures
  • 1.4 Analyse, interpret and report testing results according to relevant legislation and workplace procedures
  • 1.5 Identify and investigate problems and potential problems, and report results and recommendations according to workplace procedures
  • 1.6 Store results and reports according to relevant legislation and workplace procedures
  • 1.7 Identify hazards, assess risks and implement control measures
2 Monitor and optimise the process and production
  • 2.1 Monitor treatment process resource usage according to treatment management plans
  • 2.2 Implement incident action plans according to treatment management plans
  • 2.3 Identify, report and recommend opportunities for process performance improvements according to treatment management plans
  • 2.4 Advise and communicate to relevant stakeholders according to relevant legislation and workplace procedures
  • 2.5 Review, interpret and action stakeholder and customer requirements according to treatment management plans
  • 2.6 Identify and investigate breaches of treatment management plan provisions with results and recommendations reported and actioned according to relevant legislation and workplace procedures
3 Report on implementation and monitoring of the plan
  • 3.1 Identify, investigate and report deviations from planned treatment parameters and management plan requirements
  • 3.2 Review objectives of the treatment process monitoring program and make recommendations for changes to plan objectives and operational procedures
