Description
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to manage compliance in digital supply chains. It includes identifying digital supply chain compliance requirements, maintaining digital supply chain compliance information, monitoring digital supply chain compliance and reviewing and reporting on digital supply chain compliance.Compliance refers to the adherence of established guidelines and all legal requirements including those in relation to sourcing, manufacturing and delivering products in a digital supply chain. Tracking and complying with local, national and international product and supply chain laws and industry standards is critical to the maintenance of confidence in digital supply chains.The unit is applicable to those with management or team leadership responsibilities within a digital supply chain.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Elements and Performance Criteria
1 Identify compliance requirements
- 1.1 Compliance strategy, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), for the digital supply chain is confirmed
- 1.2 Legislation, codes of practice and industry standards applicable to digital supply chains are identified
- 1.3 Compliance policies and procedures, including corrective action protocols and processes, are determined
- 1.4 Responsibility and level of authority for digital supply chain compliance is verified
2 Maintain compliance information
- 2.1 Compliance data is collected and maintained, in accordance with compliance procedures, using approved systems and tools
- 2.2 Supplier's financial viability, contract compliance and third party affiliations are validated, in accordance with compliance procedures
- 2.3 Supplier certificates, disclosure statements and other supporting documentation are maintained, in accordance with compliance procedures and legislative obligations
- 2.4 Compliance information is communicated to digital supply chain stakeholders
3 Monitor compliance
- 3.1 Compliance gaps in the digital supply chain are monitored, using approved methods and tools, to mitigate risks and identify areas of improvement
- 3.2 Quality system reports are monitored and non-compliance issues are tracked, in accordance with compliance procedures
- 3.3 Cyber security and data storage risks are monitored, in accordance with compliance procedures, to ensure digital supply chain integrity
- 3.4 Legislative and regulatory compliance is monitored throughout the digital supply chain, in accordance with compliance procedures
- 3.5 Non-compliance actions and breaches, including whistle blower reports, are documented and corrective actions are monitored, in accordance with compliance procedures
4 Review and report on compliance
- 4.1 Compliance strategy and KPIs are reviewed, in consultation with digital supply chain stakeholders, to identify improvements
- 4.2 Digital supply chain compliance report, including recommendations, is prepared and presented to approved stakeholders
- 4.3 Continuous improvement actions to support digital supply chain compliance are documented
