Description
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to coordinate goods to bond premises in accordance with licensed warehouse/facilities, regulatory and workplace requirements, as part of work activities in the transport and logistics industry.It includes identifying and listing goods for bonding, arranging the transfer of goods under bond to a licensed facility, and preparing and issuing bond lists.Work is performed under some supervision generally within a team environment.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Elements and Performance Criteria
1 Identify and list cargo requiring bonded movement
- 1.1 Goods are identified for bonding when not cleared for release by customs or quarantine regulatory requirements
- 1.2 Types of cargo for under bond movements are identified
- 1.3 Appropriate licensed warehouse/facilities are identified for storage of uncleared cargo
- 1.4 Facility licensing requirements are identified for storage of bonded cargo in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
2 Arrange transfer of goods to bond facility
- 2.1 Arrangements for the transfer of goods to bond facility are made in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
- 2.2 Carrier and bond facility is notified of storage or yard location, marks and quantity and provided with relevant documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
3 Prepare and issue bonded movement
- 3.1 Bonded movements are prepared in accordance with workplace procedures, relevant national legislation and regulatory requirements
- 3.2 Bonded movements, endorsed with the relevant information, is issued to carrier or bond facility in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
