1 Plan and prepare for supervision of blast hole drilling operations
  • 1.1 Access, interpret and apply blast hole drilling documentation and ensure the work activity is compliant
  • 1.2 Clarify and ensure the application of the specific task information and required outcomes with team members
  • 1.3 Prepare a written operational plan which makes best use of the available resources
2 Initiate blast hole drilling operations
  • 2.1 Acquire and make available the necessary resources
  • 2.2 Issue clear and timely instructions to team members and others involved in the operations
3 Monitor, adjust, communicate and report on the execution of blast hole drilling operations
  • 3.1 Monitor the execution of the operations
  • 3.2 Identify safety and efficiency issues, and initiate improvements to practices / operational plan
  • 3.3 Provide clear, concise and informed advice to team members to overcome operational problems encountered during operations
  • 3.4 Ensure plant equipment and tools maintenance requirements are carried out and recorded
  • 3.5 Ensure written reports are completed and submitted
  • 3.6 Recommend changes to improve the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the operations
