Description
This unit describes the skills required for working collaboratively in team environments in order to achieve organisational objectives. It includes contributing to performance and capability within policing teams, including participating in team activities, exchanging knowledge and skills, and providing support to fellow team members.This unit applies to those working as police staff as part of the routine team collaboration that occurs in the policing environment.The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to, particularly those related to human resource practices.Those undertaking this unit would be expected to both contribute to and work within a team. They would be required to communicate and transmit knowledge and skills to other team members. They would demonstrate ethical and professional policing qualities, and show adaptability while performing complex tasks across a broad range of contexts.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to unit at the time of publication.
