1 Analyse pattern-making process
- 1.1 Pattern-making terminology is analysed.
- 1.2 Principles of pattern making are identified.
- 1.3 Block construction is identified as required.
- 1.4 Pattern-making and pattern-modification processes are identified and analysed.
- 1.5 Impact of pattern making on production is analysed.
2 Interpret patterns
- 2.1 Pattern pieces are identified and checked against pattern chart.
- 2.2 Pattern markings are identified and interpreted.
- 2.3 Garment style features are identified.
- 2.4 Garment requirements are interpreted and clarified where necessary.
- 2.5 Pattern information and specifications are interpreted.
3 Apply pattern information and specifications
- 3.1 Pattern information and specifications are applied to garment production.
- 3.2 Pattern pieces, information and specifications are checked for accuracy throughout garment production process.
- 3.3 Garment production faults relating to pattern or pattern information and specifications are identified and reported.
- 3.4 OHS practices are followed.
- 3.5 Action is taken according to OHS practices to prevent accidents and to eliminate risks to personal safety.
- 3.6 Production documentation is completed as required.
