Description
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to assess a removal load for pre-packing across a variety of removal contexts, in compliance with relevant industry codes of practice and workplace procedures.It includes selecting packing materials and equipment, identifying potential hazards, identifying discrepancies against inventory, ensuring all pre-packed items are ready for removal, and completing all relevant records.Work is performed under limited or minimum supervision.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

1 Check removal requirements
  • 1.1 Potential hazards are identified and appropriate action is planned to minimise risk or injury to persons or damage to items, equipment or structure
  • 1.2 In consultation with client or agent, agreed removal inventory is checked for accuracy and discrepancies and confirmed prior to uplift in accordance with workplace procedures
  • 1.3 Special requirements are identified in consultation with client or agent and documented in accordance with workplace procedures
  • 1.4 Client or agent is advised of any pre-damaged or damage-risked items and appropriate documentation is completed
  • 1.5 Items unacceptable for removal are identified and client or agent is informed
2 Prepare for uplift process
  • 2.1 Pre-packed items of furniture and effects are prepared appropriately at premises to ensure orderly and efficient uplift
  • 2.2 Documentation is checked and completed accurately and promptly in accordance with workplace procedures
  • 2.3 Confirmed items are appropriately prepared for transportation in accordance with workplace procedures
