1. Prepare to remove and install butyl sealed windscreen
  • 1.1 Identify job requirements from workplace instructions
  • 1.2 Identify required information for repair activity
  • 1.3 Identify hazards associated with the work, assess potential risks and implement control measures in line with workplace policies and procedures
  • 1.4 Identify tools, equipment and materials required for windscreen replacement and establish serviceability according to workplace procedures
2. Carry out removal and installation activities
  • 2.1 Carry out windscreen removal according to workplace procedures, manufacturer specifications, workplace health and safety and environmental requirements
  • 2.2 Install, seal and finish replacement windscreen to workplace procedures
  • 2.3 Cure adhesive according to adhesive manufacturer specifications and timelines
3. Complete work processes
  • 3.1 Conduct final inspection according to workplace procedures and confirm vehicle is ready for use
  • 3.2 Clear work area and dispose of or recycle materials according to workplace procedures
  • 3.3 Complete documentation according to workplace procedures
