Description
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to coordinate and monitor groundwater system usage.It includes coordinating and monitoring the use of groundwater as a source of water supply, ensuring Ground Water Management Plan (GWMP) performance measures are met, environmental issues are addressed and a source of supply is maintained.This unit applies to workers with a specific responsibility for ensuring groundwater systems usage complies with the GWMP and assets and processes comply with organisational and statutory requirements. Those undertaking this unit would work autonomously, usually with supervisory responsibilities, while performing complex tasks in a range of contexts.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

  • 1.1 Identify groundwater management, stakeholder and water quality and quantity requirements
  • 1.2 Gather and apply historical groundwater information

  • 2.1 Conduct monitoring and testing programs according to workplace procedures

  • 3.1 Identify hazards, assess risks and implement control measures according to workplace procedures
