Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to take finalised design concepts and progress them through the planning, implementation and evaluation stages of garment design and production. The unit applies to garments that include some distinctive style and features but where the design brief provides significant guidance about design needs. This unit applies to personnel working as part of a design and production team.No licensing or certification requirements exist at the time of publication. Relevant legislation, industry standards and codes of practice within Australia must be applied.

1. Prepare for production of design concepts
- 1.1 Analyse design concepts and specifications to extract key information needed to plan production
- 1.2 Scope production requirements and establish resources for implementation
- 1.3 Identify complete sequence of operations and put in place processes for each stage in consultation with relevant personnel

- 3.3 Prepare finished product for presentation, selecting accessories, fabric examples and components to convey range and style options of design
- 3.4 Organise and conduct presentation of finished product using communication tools and presentation methods suited to the product and audience
- 3.5 Seek client response and assess feedback for improvement possibilities
