Elements and Performance Criteria
1. Plan and prepare to supervise overburden dump operations
- 1.1 Obtain, interpret and confirm work requirements
- 1.2 Access, interpret and apply overburden dump operations documentation and confirm the work activity is compliant
- 1.3 Access, share and clarify the geotechnical and survey data required for overburden dump operations with team members
- 1.4 Select and wear personal protective equipment according to site requirements
- 1.5 Conduct inspection of overburden dump and identify potential hazards and environmental issues, implement control measures within scope of own role and escalate where required
- 1.6 Prepare and implement an action plan in consultation with team members according to job and site requirements
- 1.7 Identify team training needs and confirm required training is provided

- 2.4 Confirm overburden dump has adequate drainage to minimise ponding, erosion and contamination of surrounding areas
- 2.5 Monitor progress of overburden dump formation to determine staged rehabilitation requirements according to work plan
- 2.6 Monitor overburden dump structure and surrounding area with visual checks to assess safety, stability and compliance with overburden dump design
3. Monitor dust suppression and overburden dump infrastructure maintenance
- 3.1 Monitor overburden structure and operations to confirm dust control measures are effective and meet site requirements
- 3.2 Adjust overburden dump activities to prevailing weather conditions and site dust suppression requirements
