Demonstrates skills and knowledge to:
analyse a millinery design to identify the couture trim
select materials for the trim according the requirements of the agreed design, and performance and handling characteristics of the materials
prepare manipulate millinery materials to make intricate and unique couture trims
finish the couture trim
action environmental protection by using safer alternatives to traditional millinery solvents and adhesives
use OHS practices including hazard identification and control measures associated with limiting the use of millinery solvent-based stiffeners and adhesives
