Description

The Design Stream of the Diploma has particular emphasis on development of complete design and decoration schemes for the effective use of commercial or institutional and residential interior spaces; preparation of design documentation with an emphasis on computer aided design. The Diploma also includes furnishings, finishes and aesthetic presentation to meet the purpose: efficiency and comfort of the space and encourage the principles of environmental sustainability. It covers detailed understanding of the application and effect of colour and pattern in interior space and the application of historic furnishing styles and their relationship to architectural periods.
