Description

The course is intended to give candidates the underpinning knowledge and skills to meet the entry requirements for Diploma of Nursing, Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology or to support entry into other health or nursing related qualifications at Bachelor level.

It is an integral step in the study pathway for International students and for students in high school who are not in the ATAR study pathway to enable them to achieve an alternative entry into Diploma level qualifications or University.

Graduates will have a broad factual and theoretical knowledge in health related subject areas.

Schedule
The Certificate IV Preparation for Health and Nursing Studies consists of two (2) units of competency imported from the Business Services training package and five (5) units/modules developed specifically to address the requirements of the qualification.

There are no pre-requisites or co-requisites for this qualification. It is recommended that all units are commenced and delivered over the 6 month course duration to allow students to develop and consolidate the required level of knowledge and skills.

A statement of attainment will be issued for any unit of competency/module completed if the full qualification is not completed.
