Description
This certificate is designed for adults who may have left school early or not completed secondary education and need to improve their literacy, numeracy and general education skills.
To provide skill development in reading, writing, basic maths and oral communication in order to prepare for employment, further training or facilitate participation within the community.

Reading and Writing Group
Learners are to complete 80 nominal hours of modules from EITHER the Group 1 Reading and Writing Group OR the Group 2 Numeracy and Mathematics Group.
(The shorter modules in Group 1 are learning outcome components of the 81263 VBM694 Reading and Writing III, and are offered as an alternative to provide flexibility for learners in achieving competence).
