State Implementation and Classification
Description
This course aims to provide a general education. That is, initial skill development in reading, writing and numeracy and skill development in a variety of areas to meet personal needs and to facilitate participation in the community, or other workplace and further education and training. On successful completion of this course a participant will be able to:
- design, complete, document and evaluate a project
- research a range of pathway options, develop a learning plan in relation to identified goals, assemble a portfolio and evaluate progress in relation to goals
- read, interpret and critically analyse complex texts
- plan and produce a folio of complex texts
- perform a range of complex mathematical tasks and use a variety of formal and informal mathematical language in a range of contexts

3. Special Interest Electives
RTOs may may select Units/Modules as special subject interest electives.
Units/module from any endorsed training packages and/or accredited curriculum. Units/modules selected should provide opportunities to support and enhance vocational and education pathways. Units/modules may be selected from Certificate II or IV level course. The majority of all units imported from accredited courses or training packages should be from AQF level 3.
Some "Specilaist Eelctive Units" are suggested at a number of levels. Please note that once any elective unit has been satisfactorily completed, it cannot be attempted at another level.
When selecting units from another training pacakge the RTO does not need to have in their Scope of Registration the parent training package, unless they are advertising and delivering them separately. RTO can also apply to have a single unit added to their Scope of registration. When delivering and assessing training package unit, RTOs must follow the assessment guidelines in theparent training package.
