State Implementation and Classification
Description
To provide an accredited entry level training program in the
Office/Administration area for Local Government or related workplaces.
To train people to the National Local Government (Levels A & B) and Clerical
Administrative Competencies (ASF Level 2).
To provide training and skills development in areas such as Oral and Written
Communication, Local Government Operations, Computer Operations, Customer
Relations, Accounting and Administrative skills.
To provide practical training in a structured work environment with skills and
theoretical training in the off-the-job component.

Department of Training) outlines the actual delivery hours for the modules.
These hours may be less than the nominal hours recommended for the national
modules. The reason for this is that the trainees spend 75% of time on the job
where a considerable amount of learning occurs.
2. Through the RPL process and through credit transfers, trainees may
apply for credit for award courses offered by TAFE. The Training Plan details
national modules aligned to this traineeship program.
