Description

This course is designed to meet the needs of the insurance industry by:

-
the provision of eight industry specific modules within these courses
and eight generic business modules.

-
a range of patterns of attendance and modes of delivery

-
nominal duration of modules that can be adjusted to suit the needs of
different industry groups.

Completion of Certificate IV in General Insurance enables the learner to apply
for membership of the Australian Insurance Institute (A.I.I.)

Completion of Certificate IV in General Insurance will satisfy the requirements
for the Insurance Industry Code of Practice Certificate (General).

To provide training for graduates who will be occupying positions that require
limited supervision and where responsibility is taken for a wide range of
action. The course outcomes at this level could include management skills and
in depth knowledge of some areas of insurance.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

Learners who consider they possess the competencies developed through any
module/subject in this course shall be granted advanced standing upon
substantiation. Such competencies may be gained either formally or informally
and will be assessed on each particular module/subject according to the
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) requirements for that module.

REQUIREMENTS TO RECEIVE THE QUALIFICATION

Satisfactory completion of the sixteen modules made up of eight specialist
modules and eight generic business modules.
