State Implementation and Classification
Description
This is an entry-level course suitable for people who wish to be trained through an apprenticeship pathway as a tradesperson structural steel framer in the Residential (Housing) sector of Western Australia.
The course will prepare and train students in the knowledge and skills of the Steel Framing trade as related to low-rise residential (Housing) construction.
Schedule
- fourteen (14) core units; and
- five (5) electives elective units
1. Core Units
All fourteen (14) units must be completed.
2. Elective Units
Select five (5) elective units from the following list.
Note: Apprentices/trainees employed in the shed-erection / shed-building sector, may supplement their elective choice using trade-related units chosen from the CPC or appropriate Training Package.
