1 There will be a work experience component for students to experience
an actual salon environment and integrate the skills and knowledge gained from
the modules in this course. The salon manager is to complete a Student Work
Experience Checklist for each student undertaking work experience. A course
lecturer will monitor the student regularly during the work experience.

2 On successful completion of modules 97367 Salon Work Environment,
97368 Salon Receptionist Skills and 65009 NCS001 Workplace Communication in
this course, the learner will receive full exemption from module 97333
Hairdressing Introductory Studies in the 2611 Certificate III of Hairdressing
or the 2612 Certificate II of Pre-Apprentice Studies (Hairdressing).

3 Successful completion of module 97336 Scalp Massage will provide
exemption of that module in the 2611 Certificate III of Hairdressing or 2612
Certificate II in Pre-Apprentice Studies (Hairdressing).
