Description

This course is designed to meet the needs of the insurance industry by:

-
the provision of four industry specific modules within these courses
and five generic business modules.

-
a range of patterns of attendance and modes of delivery

-
nominal duration of modules that can be adjusted to suit the needs of
different industry groups.

Completion of Certificate III in General Insurance enables the learner to apply
for membership of the Australian Insurance Institute (A.I.I.)

To provide training at entry level, related to the industry competency
standards. Graduates will occupy positions which require supervision for other
than routine tasks. The course outcomes provide for the acquisition of basic
industry knowledge and generic office skills.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

Learners who consider they possess the competencies developed through any
module/subject in this course shall be granted advanced standing upon
substantiation. Such competencies may be gained either formally or informally
and will be assessed on each particular module/subject according to the
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) requirements for that module.

REQUIREMENTS TO RECEIVE THE QUALIFICATION

Satisfactory completion of the nine modules made up of four specialist modules
