GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
To receive the qualification the learner must have completed the requirements
of Certificate III - Trade plus 9 modules (Minimum) and 36 points in units
drawn from specialisation band A or band B and/or band 2 core units (maximum 24
points from band A).
Competent performance will be achieved when the learner can practise the skills
and meet the necessary industry competency standards. The Qualification will be
issued once the off-the-job and on-the-job component has been completed. A
separate on-the-job assessment by a registered Workplace Assessor will be
required before the qualification is issued.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
To meet the requirements of the Western Australian Metals Trades (General)
Award Classification C7, 9 modules selected from the MERSITAB endorsed module
bank. NOTE: *Modules completed as part of the Certificate III used to enter the
program cannot be used as credit in this course in terms of the qualification.
The selection of CSU's against modules should reflect approximately 36-40 Unit
Weighting points to ensure national portability
*Reference should be made to the ANTA/MERSITAB Training Package for the final
selection of the pathway which required a clear understanding of the weighting
points and the bands.

training offered by way of certification of transfer of credit, providers will
need to be registered with their respective State Training Authority as
required under the ARF. In addition, some licensing arrangements may apply
within some States and with Training Products Ltd.

The course is accredited by the Training Accreditation
Council (TAC) in Western Australia and has been placed on the National
Register as code TBA.
