Description

The Certificate I in New Opportunities for Women (NOW) is a general education program aimed at providing women with the knowledge, skills and support to make the important transition into further vocational education and training.

The aim of the qualification is to enable participants seeking to return to employment or further education/training to:
- Broaden their awareness of the educational and career options available to them
- Enhance their self-confidence and find new directions
- Develop foundation employability skills
- Develop skills and strategies to manage personal, career and lifelong learning goals

Schedule
The award of the qualification is based on the completion of the core and a selection of elective modules to a total of 260 hours. The choice of electives should reflect the needs and aspirations of the learner and support pathways to further learning or employment.
