Description
10725NAT Course in Preliminary Spoken and Written English is a component of the Certificates in Spoken and Written English (CSWE) English as an additional language (EAL) curriculum framework. It is a foundation course for learners who have no or limited formal schooling, no or limited English and who may not have literacy skills in their first language.
This course is intended to provide participants with the following general education outcomes:
- learning skills to enter formal learning environments
- English language proficiency at the equivalent of ISLPR® 1-, IELTS 3 or CEFR A1
- English language proficiency to meet performance features ranging between ACSF Pre B and ACSF 1 indicators.
Schedule
- one (1) unit must be chosen from group A and
- the remaining four (4) units from group A or B.
Students who successfully complete 10725NAT Course in Preliminary Spoken and Written English will be awarded a Statement of Attainment. Students can be awarded a Statement of Attainment for successful completion of units.
