State Implementation and Classification
Description
To provide Gas Industry personnel with a comprehensive knowledge of the Gas Industry and Regulations governing the installation of gas
pipework, appliances and servicing.
Successful completion of subjects within the course entitles the student to apply to the State Energy Commission of Western Australia for the following:
- Gas Installations 1:
Authorisation to work in the industry.
- Gas Installations 2:
Permit to operate:
- Class A Installation of Appliances Using Gas Lighter Than Air
- Class C Installation of Appliances Using Gas Heavier Than Air
- Gas Servicing:
Permit to operate:
- Class B Servicing of Appliances Using Gas Lighter Than Air
- Class D Servicing of Appliances Using Gas Heavier Than Air.
