To provide key process operators and supervisory
personnel with a knowledge of relevant scientific
and mathematical fundamentals.

To give the student a broad overview of plant
equipment, unit operations, process control and a
variety of chemical processes.


To create an awareness of the special nature of the
chemical process environment, the associated hazards
and safety considerations and further to introduce
the students to supervisory and managerial functions
and principles.
