Description
To provide the learner with the skills and knowledge to be able to:

- market and sell goods for further processing or for use in production
processes and to realise that industrial marketing is the world’s largest and
most diverse organisational market

- distinguish the difference between consumer and industrial marketing
and to develop industrial marketing plans and implementation strategies in
order to play a key role in assisting management in the marketing of industrial
goods on domestic and international markets.
Range of Variables
This module may be provided on or off-the-job and is suitable for face to face
delivery in a structured occupationally safe and healthy learning environment
or by flexible delivery through external, mixed mode, technology or multi-media
based systems.

Adaptation of this module for alternative delivery modes will require
additional learning resources for delivery and assessment which incorporate
case studies and practical applications of the principles and concepts outlined.

In whatever mode is selected for provision or access purposes, strategies
should be selected to reflect the nature of the learning outcomes and the needs
of the participants. Although the module is substantially knowledge or theory
based, it is required to be supported by case studies and practical
applications of the principles and concepts for assessment purposes.

accordance with the assessment criteria and assessment methods for quality
audit purposes as required.

Multiple choice and short answer questions to assess knowledge of key concepts
and terminology

Practical exercises based on workplace visits or experience or case studies to
assess competency in terms of problems solving and analysis of environmental
marketing for establishment of best practice approaches.

Assignment/Project, presentation and submission to assess practical
application of industrial marking ability by the production of a strategic
marketing plan for industrial goods, with successful integration of sound
marketing practices.
