Description
This unit describes the basic speaking and listening performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required by adult learners of English as an additional language with little or no formal education to engage in short interactions. It focuses on engaging with another person and responding to short, basic everyday spoken information and simple everyday instructions in familiar and immediate social contexts.
The outcomes described in this unit relate to:
- The ISLPR (International Second Language Proficiency Ratings) descriptors for Speaking and Listening. They partly contribute to the achievement of Speaking 1 and Listening 1
