Description
This module introduces learners to the role of the supervisor/manager as a
manager of people. It covers the supervisor's manager's duties and
responsibilities, recruitment and management of staff. The concepts of power
and authority, responsibility and discipline are dealt with in some depth, as
are employee performance appraisal techniques. The module also recognises the
need for change, and covers the management of change in the workplace. Career
path plans are also addressed.
