Description
To enable students to communicate appropriately and
effectively in English and the LOTE (Language Other
Than English), both orally and in writing, in the
areas of Arts and Literature.
To provide students with an overview of the cultural
history of a country where the LOTE is spoken and of
the contemporary state of the Arts.
To enable students to identify some important works
of art and literature of a country where the LOTE is
spoken.
To relate some important works of art and literature to their historical
background.

artist/craftsperson/composer/choreographer (minimum 300 words) and present the

Successful communication is the focus of all
assessment. In assessing the communicative skills of the student, the
following criteria (subject to language-specific needs) may assist in
determining the level of student performance:
- Clarity of expression
- Command of topic-specific vocabulary
- Appropriateness of language
- Fluency
- Structural accuracy
- Knowledge of subject matter
- Accuracy of information.
