Description
This unit specifies the essential outcomes for selecting wiring systems and cables for low voltage electrical installations to ensure they are compliant and performance criteria by which competency is to be assessed.

This unit is for holders of Offshore Technical Skills Record (OTSR) issued by an RTO and incorporated the minimum context gap to meet Australian standards and regulations.

This unit shall only be undertaken by holders of an OTSR for the following qualification or successors of the following qualification:
- UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician

Entrants must hold a provisional/restricted licence issued by the Australian state or territory regulatory authority responsible for regulating electrical work and the licensing of workers.
