Description
To provide personnel involved with or interested in mining operations
(underground) with broad introductory mining operation skills and knowledge
including the purpose of mining, mining law, minerals deposits and exploration,
drilling methods and techniques, explosives and blasting and mining methods in
a competency-based mode to complement practical experience related to the needs
of the mining industry

The demands of any assessment task should be NO MORE than required to
demonstrate competency. Demonstration requires assessment of the task
during performance as well as evaluation of the product.

Six research assignments/internal assessments consisting of one at the
completion of each learning outcome:
