State Implementation and Classification
Description
To provide the theoretical and practical education and training in surveying
such that the graduate may gain employment at the professional level within the
career structure of the surveying industry.
To satisfy the academic requirements for corporate membership of the
Institution of Engineering and Mining Surveyors (Australia). Hence the course
emphasises the acquisition of skills and practices associated with applied
engineering and mining surveying.

1 Students must complete five modules from GROUP 1 to a minimum total of 204 hours. NOTE: Students wishing to apply to the Government of Western Australia for authorisation as a Mine Surveyor must complete the following electives: - Mining 1A - Mining 1B - Mining 2A - Mining 2B - Engineering Geology GROUP 1: 204 hours
