- Perform own choreography piece with a story arch to a professional standard
- Perform professional standard lyrical dance sequences
- Perform in a professional standard lyrical dance routine
- Seek feedback for own professional skill development.
Context of and specific resources for assessment
The following examples provide assessment conditions appropriate for this unit:
- peer/3rd party reports of simulated performance
- evaluation of practice or live or recorded performances
- verbal or written questioning to test knowledge as listed in the required skills and knowledge section of this unit
- direct observation of candidate practising and performing lyrical dance skills.
Method of assessment
Assessment methods should closely reflect workplace performance demands as far as possible. Where real live performance opportunities are not available simulated performance can be offered. It is important for assessment that the unit offers multiple opportunities for practice and performance of professional lyrical dance techniques.
