To give an overview of the Australian system of law
in industrial relations and the Australian Courts.

To provide an awareness of the contract of
employment, the elements involved, the rights and
duties of the parties as well as means of
termination and remedies available to the parties.

To examine vicarious liability, torts and illegal
contracts in employer/employee relations.

To show the relationship between Awards and the
