Description
This unit specifies the mandatory requirements of workplace health and safety and how they apply to the various work functions in the electrical workplace. It requires the ability to identify relevant health and safety and risk management processes at all operative levels, adhering to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work in Australia.
This unit is for holders of an Offshore Technical Skills Record (OTSR) issued by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and incorporates the minimum context gap to meet Australian standards and regulations.
This unit shall only be undertaken by holders of an OTSR for the following qualifications or successors of the following qualifications:
- UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
- UEE32211 Certificate III in Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning
- UEE33011 Certificate III in Electrical Fitting
- UET30612 Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Overhead
Entrants must hold a provisional/restricted licence issued by the Australian state or territory regulatory authority responsible for regulating electrical work and the licensing of workers.
