This subject aims to introduce
Electrical and Electronic Engineering
students to technical programming using
the PASCAL language.

One two-hour written examination

Students must pass in both the written
paper and the internal assessment.

Questions requiring short answers on
topics, such as:

- Syntax of the Pascal Language
- Use of Standard Functions
- Use of Enumerated Types
- Use of Control Structures, e.g. Repeat-Until
- Writing Pascal Statements from Given Information, e.g.
Formulae.

Three longer questions involving design
and coding of programs or sub-programs,
covering topics such as:

- Arrays of One or Two Dimensions
- Standard Input and Output
- Use of Records
- Accessing Text and Binary Files.

Internal Assessment 40%

Program using terminal input and
