is determined by 100% weighting for the written

One two hour written paper consisting of the following components:
A series of short questions covering the following
topics:
- Relational Terminology
- Database Architecture
- Advanced SQL

Design a database of medium complexity using
Entity Relationship diagrams and normalise the
derived relations to the 3rd Normal Form using
Functional Dependencies 40%
A series of short questions covering the following
topics:
- Integrity
- Concurrency Control in Multi-user systems
- Recovery
- Security, Privacy and Backup
- Access and Efficiency Considerations
(30%)

Assignment 1 covers topics 1-4 (10%)
Assignment 2 covers topics 5-6 (10%)
