Description
To provide students with the opportunity to
practise/rehearse technique components from western,
traditional and ethnic repertoires, in an unset
workshop situation.

To encourage students' independent effort as a
necessary part of the learning process.

To enable students to extend their own skills of
technical execution through trial and error, and
experimentation.

To facilitate the students' expression of their Aboriginality in dance.

Suggested bases for assessment may include:

Attendance, and general attitude towards workshop.

Individual contribution to workshops, in terms of:

o energy input
o group support
o determination to improve
o resourcefulness in seeking necessary advice.

Participation, and contribution to class discussion.

The main specification is that students acquire a
pass in all sections of the assessment. In order to
complete all assessment criteria, students also must
attend a minimum of 70% of the course.
