To enable students to develop skills in the field of dance study, through
practical training in a range of representative Western dance techniques: Jazz,
Tap, Modern, Classical.

To enable students to research the Australian
Aboriginal cultural dance heritage, through practical training in traditional
Aboriginal dance.

To allow students to share a variety of cultural
heritage through practical training in ethnic dance,
representative of other parts of the world.

To provide students with the practical knowledge of
anatomy and alignment, necessary for the safe use of their body as an
instrument for the expression of dance.

To encourage students to develop the character traits: discipline,
determination, dedication, commitment, motivation; necessary for further
training in the field of dance.

To encourage students to develop self-confidence and
pride in their identity.
