To raise the students' confidence level in their own
ability to execute movement components from the
dance techniques studied in the course, i.e.
western, traditional, ethnic.
To give the students practical experience in
technique rehearsal under qualified supervision.
To encourage students to experiment with movement
components from western, traditional and ethnic
techniques, to create a new style of movement.

Suggested bases for assessment may include:
- Attendance, and general attitude towards workshops.
- Individual contribution to workshops in terms of: energy
input, group support, determination to improve, resourcefulness in seeking
necessary advice.
- Participation, and contribution to class discussion.
The main specification is that students acquire a
pass in all sections of the assessment. In order to
complete all assessment criteria, students also must
attend a minimum of 70% of the course.
