Description
To provide the learner with an introduction to the knowledge and skills
required in the processes of listing, marketing and selling properties, and the
application of these knowledge and skills through a number of sales-related
tasks, not involving direct interaction with agency customers.
Range of Variables
This module is designed on the assumption that most of the participants will
achieve the learning outcomes specified in 38 hours. The length of time taken
to complete a module will vary, depending on factors such as teaching method
used, knowledge and skills at entry, and individual participant’s ability.

This module provides for delivery off-the-job.

Some areas of content may be common to more than one learning outcome, and thus
integration may be appropriate.

The integration of this module with other modules, for the purposes of
delivery, may reduce the nominal hours.

Where appropriate, problem-solving processes must be incorporated in this
module:

- identify routine problems
- address options
- implement solutions.

A range of methods are suggested for measuring progress towards and achievement
of learning outcomes in this module. The following definitions provide
guidance to assessors when developing assessment instruments:

- Oral Questioning: A response is provided to a series of oral questions
presented in order to demonstrate understanding of principles or reasoning
behind the action taken

- Practical Display: The completion of a specified task or set of
procedures, normally performed under close supervision, using a detailed
checklist

- Project: An exercise or investigation based on a real-life situation,
generally requiring a significant part of the work being carried out without
close supervision, and involving the completion of a project report.
