Description
To develop knowledge and skills to effectively meet the physical and social/emotional needs of children aged 0 to 5 years in a variety of group care settings, including home based child care, long day care and occasional care settings.
Range of Variables
1 This module could be delivered either
through an open learning mode or in a group
learning context. For group delivery the
practical nature of this module makes it
essential that a minimum of 10 hours are
provided for workshops for a maximum of
10-12 learners, to provide for experiential
learning.

2 The deliverer must be familiar with the
module requirements of Caregiving Practices
(0-5 years) SFP (50505) and ensure that the
delivery of this module fully prepares
students for the practical skills of that
module.

3 Delivery of this module requires access to
water and a range of equipment (see

module).
