The purpose of this module is to
provide training for effective
communication at the workplace and an
understanding of the rights and
responsibilities of employers and
employees within an industrial relations
environment.

During the delivery of this module it is
stressed that Occupational Health and
Safety shall be adhered to and
reinforced.
This module is designed on the
assumption that most of the participants
will achieve the learning outcomes
specified in 10 hours.
The length of time taken to complete a
module will vary depending on factors
such as teaching method used,
knowledge and skills at entry and
individual participant's ability.
Training in the following
communication modules: Use and
Interpretation of Workplace
Documentation; Giving and Following
Instructions and Working in Groups
could be integrated with other modules
across the curriculum, offsetting the
necessity of timetabling discrete
modules.
Problem solving process must be
incorporated where appropriate within
module:
-identify routine problems
-address options
-implemen
